Adac Trentino Classic Historic Cars tour

from 25/08 to 29/08/2010

The Val di Fassa is the proud host of the 2010 Adac Trentino Classic, international classic car rally organised by one of the most important automobile clubs in Europe: Adac. Hundreds of these historic cars will participate in the tours organised over the Dolomitic Passes, over a five-day period.

The teams, based in Moena, will tour around the most evocative locations at cruising speed, taking in the breathtaking scenery of the Val di Fassa and neighbouring districts.

Gran Festa da d’Istà

The folk parade of the groups from the Ladin valleys is another unmissable event taking place on the last day of the "Gran Festa da d'Istà", a four-day festival which celebrates, with colours and musics, the end of the Fassa summer season.

NEW BIKE EXPRESS

Astride a bike, downhill from Val di Fassa along the cycle path...

And the trip back?

No problem and no fatigue, thanks to the new "Bike Express", a special bus equipped with a trailer to transport the bicycles, that takes cyclists back to where they left from.

•  One ticket only, € 5 for any section of the route

SELLARONDA BIKE DAY

Goodbye to the acoustic pollution of motors and gas! On the occasion of the 5th Sellaronda Bike Day on Sunday, the 27. June 2010 around the Sella Group, the motorized vehicles will not have any chance. The four Dolomites passes will exclusively be reserved to the lovers of the two wheels.

Sunday, on the 27. June 2010 from 8.30 am until 3.30 pm o'clock all the Dolomites passes around the Sella Group (Sella, Gardena, Pordoi and Campolongo) will be reserved to the bicyclists.

L'ISTITUT CULTURAL LADIN “majon di fascegn”

La nuova sede del Museo Ladino di Fassa, inaugurata nel 2001, ospita le collezioni etnografiche dell'Istitut Cultural Ladin, frutto di vent'anni di ricerche, ordinate secondo precisi criteri logici e dedicate ai diversi aspetti della civiltà ladina.

Oltre alle sale espositive, il Museo dispone di un deposito visitabile, di una Sala Multimediale per l'attività didattica, di un book-shop e di un museum-shop con oggetti e gadgets di elevata qualità.

DOLOMITES

On Friday, 26th June 2009, the Dolomites were placed on the prestigious list of Natural World Heritage Sites.

The decision was made by UNESCO at its annual world congress. UNESCO was enchanted by the beauty of the Dolomites: pointed spires, jagged summits and glorious colors that change throughout the day.

At sunset the Dolomites turn a fiery red, then change to violet before disappearing into the night. This is the “Enrosadira” – a phenomenon caused by the unusual chemical composition of dolomite – a natural spectacle that is beyond compare
